More information about this artwork

Fernando Mastrangelo is a New York-based artist mostly known for his collectible designs, large-scale sculptures and installations. His works are sculpted by hand and use an impressive array of natural materials such as sand, salt, silica, and powdered glass, linking his practice with a powerful environmental and geographical narrative. Mostly appreciated for his sizeable pale color, natural-looking sculptures and organic furniture, Mastrangelo also produces incredibly textured 2D work.

Terra Yves, a terrain-like textured painting featuring layers of hand-dyed sand and powdered glass, is an exquisite example of his most recent and exclusive stream of work. This strikingly unadorned mass of deep Klein blue granules awakens our senses. Fernando Mastrangelo has designed bespoke commissioned works and spaces for top-tier international brands such as Audemars Piguet, Stella McCartney, and Dior.
